THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE

The Creekside Residences Location is Surrounded by Other Apartments, Condos and Commercial Properties Located in the very northwest corner of Cottonwood Heights, bordering an I-215 on-ramp, and close to more than 50 businesses, shopping, and dining options in this commercial corner of our city, the approved Creekside Residences community is right where it belongs. Since the city’s incorporation in 2005, the Walsh property has always been included in the Master Plan (see below) to be developed into apartments. This is consistent with the other housing types in this corner of our city (see below). The Creekside Residences were designed to have less impact on our city streets. The community will include a podium parking structure in each building and additional surface parking that will total 369 parking stalls, or 51% more stalls than required by the city. The parcel is also within walking distance to two UTA bus lines (72 & 213) that travel to high traffic locations in our city as well as to other regional points of interest, including resort access (6200 S Park and Ride), Trax Blue Line (Midvale Ft. Union Station), and the University of Utah Medical Center. The community’s ample parking, access to important arteries of public transit, and easy access to I-215 will all ensure minimal traffic impact on streets adjacent to the property, and no impact on the rest of Cottonwood Heights.

Our property is in the very northwest corner of Cottonwood Heights, right next to I-215 and is surrounded by apartments on three sides. Our property has been zoned for residential high density (apartments) since the city was formed in 2005. We have owned the property for 70 years, and we never opposed any of our neighbors who developed their land into apartments because it makes sense. If our city is growing and we need more housing, this is the perfect corner of the city to build apartments, near the freeway, near other apartments and commercial developments.
